Truth

Greetings Blogosphere... I've gained 10lbs since the holidays. I'm working on getting back to being a loser. I've realized I really like McCafe Mocha Frappe's which is a coffee-ish (BARELY) chocolate, icey goodness which I had no idea but they're freaking 450 calories & 56g of sugar! BAD. Going to only have them as a treat on VERY, very rare occasions. I need to find something similar make it at home, going to try Click sample and see if I can make it taste good since it has drastically less calories & protein!
I signed up for the "Biggest Loser" Contest at work... so I'm motivating by that... I have been walking with a gal at work on our breaks we're getting some steps in, I'm gonna get my pedometer going again and shoot for the 10,000 steps a day or more...slowly build up to the couch to 5k using my treadmil. I know I can do this...ain't nothing to it but to do it.

I'll be back with good news :)....
Have a good weekend all!!

Protein Protein Protein

Can I ever get enough protein - nooo =/
But I tried a new recipe I found on line today...

1 1/3 C. whole wheat flour
1 C. Splenda
1 1/4 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 egg whites
1 cup of mashed banana (best if really ripe)
1/5 cup water
1/4 cup apple unsweetened applesauce
3 scoops vanilla whey
1/4 cup raisins

1. preheat oven to 350
2. mix all ingredients together mix really well until no chunks of protein powder are in there. pour in a greased 8X4 in. pan.
3. bake for 50 to 55 min. or until a tooth pick can be stabbed in middle loaf and comes out clean.

I really recommend this makes a great high protein snack any time of the day.

I found this here: http://www.discussbodybuilding.com/High-Protein-Banana-Bread-m64827.aspx

Thanks to gibb who posted it....

I did change it up a bit and add 2 scoops vanilla nectar protein and 1 scoop of Banana syntha-6 brand protein. Came out good all things considered. I would make it again. =) *Pouchworthy!!*

I also made a regular - full sugar loaf for other folks...

Happy Sunday =)
